2. To understand, critically approach, and define the realm of cinema’s discourse and language, connecting it to non-fiction cinema and documentary filmmaking as a distinct cinematic genre with its own unique expression and identity;
3. To understand the Documentary in its origins and development, recognizing that its distinct identity has been historically built around the ideas of truth and authenticity;
4. To stimulate the development of observational skills and methodological relativization regarding different strategies and cinematic devices present in creative documentary filmmaking;
5. To understand and analyze the artistic, cultural, and political contexts associated with the production of various documentary discourses;
6. To experiment with and develop a personal Documentary project through the practices and methodologies of production, research, and execution associated with the genre.
7. To contextualize the Documentary within cinema history and aesthetic movements;
8. To apply concepts and theories to critical analyses of themes, positioning oneself according to aesthetic, ethical, and political principles;
9. To research and investigate topics from an innovative perspective;
10. To develop and write scripts and treatments for Documentaries;
11. To operate and master minimal technical equipment for image and sound recording;
12. To understand the post-production process, including image and sound treatment;
13. To plan and organize the distribution of documentaries;
14. To critically reflect on professional practices in the audiovisual sector, particularly in documentary filmmaking;
